Cassidy's Narrative Poem
Peanut and Ginger nut vs the Haunted House
So as they were tough they went inside,
but everything stopped and the music died.
Wandering,wandering through the high grass, up from the earth shoots a haunted house. Peanut and Ginger nut creep inside,
the old, wrinkly door opens up wide.
Inside they go through the rusty door,
Immediately they heard a chant "come on, we want more,"
So as they were tough they went inside,

Those silly alpaca's should of thought before,
they went peeking through the door.

Because inside the entrance were ghosts of all kind,
the white bodies were slowly invading their mind.
But as they made their final escape,
out runs a ghost covered in tape.
The ghost yelled "BOO!" and scared them from behind,
but the one thing they wanted was their life to unwind.
That creepy white body followed them out,
but luckily there was a window about.
So they work their way out into the trees,
one turns to another and says "not again please."

they looked back at the haunted house and began to shout.
"Now we know not to do that again,
"do what, do what questioned their friends.

Gingernut And Peanut vs Haunted House
Pacing up and down, running the fence,
then BOOM! up shoots a haunted house,
they wonder whats inside, their intreeged for a peek,
up to the door they go as quiet as a mouse.
The coast is clear they sneak inside,
shivering with fear as a ghost was about,
"AHH!" they scream trembling with a fright,
they know that ghost is trying to chase them out.
They calm down, they find a door,
out they trot to their padock safe and sound,
as they leave the house disappears,
and they settle down to tell the story of what they found.

Janaya,Emma and Cameron walked down the jungle path
And sore a monkey having a bath,
The monkey had a name tag that said Fred,
And the monkey had a very comfortable bed.
Cameron got stung by a bee,
he fled up a skinny tree,
we heard a yelp,
so we ran for help.
We were finding it impossible
to get Cameron to the hospital

Amelia's Narrative Poem: 7.1 earthquake
Amelia's family was sleeping soundly,
Not one was stirring at 4:35,
The rumble started as loud as a dump truck,
And the house seemed to come alive.
My dad came running in,
And pulled me out of bed,
We all ran under the doorway,
As my sister hit her head.
Dad went out to listen to the radio,
As the aftershocks kept on fiercely coming,
He listened oh so very closely,
To find out about the angry rumbling.
We've been waiting here an hour,
It has been very scary,
We've had no power at all,
Which makes us feel weary.
Because we have no power,
We're wondering whats going on in Town,
We are really scared and worried,
And wondering whats come down.

I lay there sleeping peacefully,
in a house that is not home to me.
I heard a groan and then a snore,
my friend almost awoke once more.
That's when I heard a loud thundery sound,
my friends dad yelled at us to get out.
We rushed to get under the door,
then we felt a shake again once more.
Police cars went past guarded with dogs,
followed by people some with pet frogs.
I listened to the phone buzz aloud,
That's when I found out that my parents were safe and sound.
Sitting in the candle light,
shining very big and bright.
I heard the glass getting swept up and I thought in my head oh look at that muck.
When I went home to see my family,
most of my cousins were there with me.
When my aunties and uncles returned to their homes,
They were enraged about their stuff getting stolen.
When my mum and I went to new world I almost hurled,
Because the old Christchurch will never be rebuilt the same again.
When we got to the shops,
all the shelves needed to be restocked.
No more people are stricken,
Like headless chickens.
Homes have been rebuilt,
As we have cleaned up all the silt.
Families are happier,
And dogs cant stop yapping.
Christchurch is a better place than is was before,
There are no sad faces anymore.

The Duckit by Katie
This is a story of the rarest animal in the whole world. I bet you are asking yourself what animal is it? This animal is called the Duckit. The Duckit is a very small cheeky thing. It has the biggest eyes and huge ears that stick out of the top of it's head and a very little cute fluffy tail that sticks out.
The Duckit lives in a hole next to a pond so it can bath in the day and sleep in a warm snugly burrow so no evil predators can get in and try to eat it.
The Duckit loves to eat carrots shaped as fish. If the Duckit likes something it's nose starts to twitch but if it hates something it makes the worst noise ever. It almost makes you deaf.
One thing the Duckit LOVES is sneaking into houses and eating all the fish and carrots. Now the Duckit is a very unpleasant animal so if you got too close it would hiss at you, try to bite you or inject poison into you.
The Duckit is now so rare because they are hunted for their meat and their tails because they can cure sicknesses.

A puck is a mixture of a pig and a duck. It is called a puck because it has a pig head and a duck body.

Pucks live in a cave under the sea.They think they are in beauty pageants.These creatures only go out at night time. Pucks are at the bottom of the food chain that's why they only go out at night time.

Cindersmelly snorry rorry
One day a new girl came to Smellyland and her name is Cindersmelly snorry rorry. She is from Stinkbomb land, so she's extra smelly even super smelly, super sleepy, super snorry! CSR was very ugly and pimply so no one liked her. She's as lazy as a platypus, never does any work and never under any circumstances showers. CSR moved into a little old stinky cottage in the swamp, with her two sisters the queen of hygiene and her pet frog Rubber Rut! Their cottage was surrounded by a Poo River and lots of tall green grass.
A month later CSR was walking through the Smellyland market when she bumped into an ugly looking man. I guess he was as ugly as her. ''Hello" he said, "my name is CSR aka Cindersmelly snorry rorry.'' Then... POOF a cloud of dust surrounded Gertrood but he turned out to be rubber Rut ''Rubber Rut what are you doing," CSR cried.
"Sorry"he said, "I just wanted to impress you". CSR was stunned and all she could think about was if she could change Rubber Rut back forever." If you kiss me on the butt I will turn back into Gertrood'' he said. ''Okay'' said CSR, so she did. Then it happened, she turned beautiful and Rubber Rut turned into Gertrood. ''Oh no'' she cried! There was only one way for CSR to be ugly again...
So CSR and Gertrood went on the quest to find the rear plant flabbergast, it was a long and tiring trip. Finally they returned to the swamp and CSR mixed up the plant with water and gulped down the antidote and returned to her ugly self.
Two years later Gertrooed and CSR got married and had two ugly little children. One was a little girl named Lopley and the other was a little boy named Peeeta. They lived stinkly ever after in the little cottage in the swamp.

The Monkat!!!
I am going to tell you about a very rare animal that if you are very lucky you will see... the Monkat. The Monkat is a cross between a monkey and a cat which has the paws, body and face of a cat and the tail, arms and colour of a Monkey.
The Monkat likes to live in a nice big cosy bush in some backyards, where during the day it will collect up lots of feathers and anything fluffy and will bring it back to its nest. When it comes to nighttime it will climb to its nest in a chosen tree, spin around three times, curl up and wrap its tail around itself then go to sleep.
This animal the Monkat loves to eat. This is a list of the foods it can eat. It eats tropical fish from the Pacific Ocean, little yellow fuzzy banana mice and yummy soft banana brain biscuits. As a nice little treat it can have banana milkshakes and tropical banana mice. It can have other things too but they're allergic to yoghurt, peanuts, honey, peanut and jelly sandwiches!!! If they eat any of these foods they will be paralysed and die.
A Monkat moves silently by swinging on its long, strong, fluffy tail but if it gets tired it will walk quietly on its little paws. When it is nice and happy it makes a Bazaar Boo! Bazaar Boo! sound when its angry it makes a woo Wang woo Wang. If you hear it go MiG yow it is probably asking you something.

Maddi's Favourite day
Last Christmas I had a big Christmas party at my grandparents house like we do every year. When we got there I played outside with my cousins Paige, Tayla, Jade and my brothers Connor and Taine.
When I came inside my grandma was getting the pavlova ready so I said I'd help her. About 15 minutes later it was time to open the presents. My dad acted as Santa and my uncle acted as Santa's little helper. The youngest got their presents first. Taine got his first then Jade, Tayla, Connor, Paige, me, Soreya, Rhys and then Nicole.
Next was the adults. They got stuff like body cream things and stuff like that.I got a Twilight board game and an Eclipse film book. It was from my auntie Tania and uncle Wayne so I said thank you. I got some other things as well as a scooter, sandals, hair clips and heaps of earrings!
Then I went outside and my auntie was there, suddenly music started playing, it was Stan W'alker my aunties absolute favourite singer. She grabbed me and we danced to the song 'Little Black Box'.
But thank goodness the lunch time call saved me! For lunch we had wobbly jelly, delicious club sandwiches and white Ambrosia and heaps more other yummy stuff.
I had the best day ever, the nicest food, the most embarrassing dance and the best day with my family!!!!!!

One day in the desert island there was a king named Lizard King he was the most charming of all. One day he went for a walk with his wife Gecko. A couple of hours later they found a resort. After an hour they went back to the desert island. There was a surprise for them... three stray kids. They were chameleon , frog and snake. Chameleon is the smart one. He was one of the best scientists. Snake is the funny one of them all. Frog is the sensitive one. One day frog was found dead on a large rock. One day they thought to go look for water then they found a mansion with water. They took some water from it. A year later more frogs came to stay.
Katie's Cinderella Story
Once a very long time ago there lived a girl but she was no ordinary girl she could talk to animals in a way no other living person could. Her name was Lucy. Lucy was 11 years old and had a craving for animals. Lucy loved animals so much that she couldn't have a favourite.
Now Lucy had a very rich family so she could go down to the shops everyday and buy another fab book full to the very tip top of animals and cool facts about them.
Every now and again Lucy and her family would go for a walk through the forest next to the lake. One fine day Lucy and her family went on their normal walk through the forest and up the lake. Like every kid Lucy got distracted by looking at a bird and did not notice her parents getting further and further into the distance.
Years passed and her parents never found Lucy. It turns out Lucy had became friends with the animals. Time was flying by and there was no sign of Lucy anywhere. Eventually Lucy was found but there was one problem............ Lucy didn't want to go.
Lucy's mum and dad were very upset and quite surprised. After a lot of asking and encouraging Lucy went. But Lucy wasn't the only one who went. All her friends in the forest went too and lived a very happy life and occasionally visited the lush forest scenery again.

Now Lucy had a very rich family so she could go down to the shops everyday and buy another fab book full to the very tip top of animals and cool facts about them.
Every now and again Lucy and her family would go for a walk through the forest next to the lake. One fine day Lucy and her family went on their normal walk through the forest and up the lake. Like every kid Lucy got distracted by looking at a bird and did not notice her parents getting further and further into the distance.
Years passed and her parents never found Lucy. It turns out Lucy had became friends with the animals. Time was flying by and there was no sign of Lucy anywhere. Eventually Lucy was found but there was one problem............ Lucy didn't want to go.

Ashlee's animal story LOG
Log is a lion crossed with a dog. This very interesting animal lives in the jungle , but not just an ordinary jungle because in this jungle there lives other animals but I'll tell you about them later on in the story.
This out of the ordinary creature has problems trying to move around, although you would think this animal has one brain it really has TWO BRAINS. This is not normally common but in this jungle there are some very mucked up animals, they can have up to 10 brains.
This abnormal animal loves to eat dog food , but occasionally you could find him munching on old bark from an old oak tree. But finding an animal that eats food like that must mean they like fine cuisine. The bark must be over the age of 50 years, it's really a lot like cheese, the older it gets the better it tastes .
One of logs special things is walking backwards but this can be a problem such as what if dog was interested in some birds... see what I mean! This is an amazing part of this animal it has a fight but its not physical instead through the brains it sorts it out. This just takes my breath away. And that's my story about my animal Log.

A tornado is a whirl of hot and cold air. It's a deadly destructive disaster. They are unstoppable and the worst weather in the world.
Tornadoes start by rising hot tropical and descending polar cold air. Next thunder and cloud are needed for tornado to form.
After that turbulent air the currents in clouds spin. Then a column of air called a vortex will descend and gets bigger as more air gets sucked in.
Finally the tornado hits the ground and it's not going to stop until its puffed. Last of all you can choose to die while you're in it or get kicked out and brake some bones. After about an hour
it will go poof.

A Messy Room
A messy room is a very dirty smelly and discusting room that lots of stuffis spread everywhere!!!
I wounder how this room got so messy?
Firstly, this messy room was caused by a little child trying to find something like a toy or trying to find out what the disgusting smell was and how it got there.
Secondly, the child was asked to put away his clothes but instead he put them on his bed and
decided that because his mum wasn't there he would jump on the bed. When he jumped all the clothes went on the floor.
Lastly, the dog and cat came in and started running around like mad things but suddenly the dog did it's busniess in the bed and the cat starts to lick it but instead throws up all over the carpet. Then the cat jumped into a bowl of milk and it went everywhere.
Next time the child should put the clothes away,not jump on the bed and keep all his pets out of thier room.

Janaya's Bedroom Was A Mess.

Firstly, Janaya's mum had a night to go out but her mum didn't know what to wear. She chucked everything around which made my room a dirty, untidy room and lefted me with a dirty room.

Crusaders vs the Sharks
Last Monday morning my Dad and I got up at 4am to watch the Crusaders VS the sharks. It was a cracker of a game and it was definitely worth getting up. I woke up my Dad by pulling his nose, he got a massive fright like a boogie man coming in to your room and yelling BOO!!! That would be scary!
Eventually my Dad started to dose off so….. I got my Nerf gun and shot him in the belly and he was too afraid to fall asleep again.
Later on in the game about 15 minutes to go my Dad couldn’t help himself he had to fall asleep. There he was dribbling away like slippery slimy soap OOO… Gross yucky . I didn't shoot him because I wanted to wait until its all over ,then shoot him like a hunter , and never tell him the final score. Oh I’m as naughty as Darth Vader . At the end of the game I got ready to shoot . I loaded it up and BOOM the bullet fired right into his belly and again BOOM it must’ve hurt. I yelled with laughter, "you missed the game." He said to me I had a dream about a little boy about you’re age with this yellow toy gun shooting me and some how it really hurt. Dad pulled up his top and there was a massive red mark turning into purple!
The final score was 44-28 .
Summer's Fun Birthday
For my birthday I had Emily, Laura, Mum, Dad, family and friends come to my birthday. It was at Monkey Spices on the 30th of March.
First we played a fun game Deal or no Deal that I got from my Mum, Dad and Brother. Emily was whining because she was always losing. It was so funny my Mum even laughed.
Next we were telling ghost stories it was weird cause then the lights dimed.
Emily told a boogieman story that was funny not scary. Laura told a funny story when we were telling scary stories.
Eventually the cake came out. When they started singing happy birthday I was thinking in my head this is so embarrassing. The cake was ice-cream and yummy. I did have a Medera cake but we cancelled it.
After we made spitballs out of our straws and napkins, they were soaking wet and they wouldn’t stick. If they were a little bit wet they would stick. It was as funny as a bird singing.
I liked my birthday, even though I wanted it at Lonestar, it was still the best I've had.
Raining Heavy
On sunday we were going home. We got ready. Dad told us to put on our jackets because it was windy and the clouds were dark. When we got in the car it started to rain.We could hear thunder.
We reached half way then it was hailing and lots of twig's fell on us. It was funny becuase one fell on dad and he was angry.
We reached McDonalds. I ordered a big mac , large fries and a coke.
We finally reached home. I nearly finished my meal . My brother didn't finish his either. I only had a burger and some of my fries. My brother only had to finish his extra burger and his
milkshake .
When we finished eating we brushed our teeth and went to bed. I felt tired.

Nicoles Birthday Party
On the 12 of March 2011 I had my awesome birthday party. Ella, Brooke, my cousins, my auntie , my uncle and of course my family came to my wonderful party. We had it at my lovely house.
First when everyone arrived I opened my colourfully wrapped presents. I got a purple watch, a beautiful charm bracelet, Sylvanian family swing set, party animals, Harameka dolls and lots of money. Later on we had some party food there were lollies, chips, grapes, savouries, cheerios and loads more. Ella put 3 juicy grapes on the beautiful lolly tree. YUM!
Next we had my birthday cake!. It was a Sylvanian family car. It looked so awesome... the number plate said 'Nicole'. We all got a piece of my cool cake. Once we got to play Pass the Parcel. We all got silly bands and a lollipop. In the very middle there was a colouring explosion pack which my sister won but she gave it to Brooke.
Once the game was finished Ella, Brooke, Rueben, Matthew [they're my cousins] and I went outside to play. Brooke and I had a game of tennis with my very new tennis set. I accidently hit Matthew! I won. After a while my Mum called us all inside because it was time for my cousins to go home. I gave Rueben and Matthew their cool party bags.
For tea we had delicious Dominos Pizza. It was so yummy. After tea we played the chocolate game.. my mum ate half the block of chocolate. I only had 5 pieces, Brooke had 4, Ella had 3 pieces.
Later we watched a DVD called Bratz which was so cool. I felt so happy to have lovely friends.

8b6s swing it shake it move it make it dance
In week 7 all of 8b6 made up a dance. We made up the dance because we wanted to do it in assembly. We started in our class 8b6 but we were told of by Mr Eddie's class because we were making to much noise underneath us. First we got into groups of six and went into rows of two down the class. Then we got started. From now we have to go into the hall. By week 8 or 9 we finished the whole entire dance. Mrs Eilken went crazy she was so happy with us. The hardest bit is when half of us go off the stage. When we do the dance I feel excited and I smile. I love doing the dance.

A day in Dunedin
hOn January 16 2011, my family and I drove down to Dunedin to see my Grandparents. It just so happened that my Great Aunty Leslie's birthday was the day we were going down to Dunedin. when we reached Mosgiel, we went to Grandma and Poppa's to drop off our bags that were jam packed with clothes. Jaden said his bum really hurt because we were in the hot and stinky car for 5 agonising hours!!!
During the time that Mum, Dad, Grandma and Poppa were having a hot cup of tea, I was devising of an awesome surprise plan. Aunty Les knew Mum and Dad had come down, but she did not know I had come down as well. I will surprise Aunty Les, I thought. I told everyone else about the plan before we went over, and they agreed I should do it.
Eventually we reached Aunty Leslie's house. I walked behind Mum, hiding myself from Aunty Les and everyone else there. When we reached the open front door, I jumped out and yelled "Happy Birthday!" Aunty Les fell back in her blue comfy chair. I went up to her and gave her a golden box tied with a satin brown ribbon. Inside lay a beautiful blue bracelet like shining paua, that I made myself.
For tea there was yummy mince pies, a seasame seed loaf, golden sausage rolls and juicy red mini sausages. For pudding we had delicious kiwi pavlova, strawberry jelly and chocolate lamingtons. Yum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aunty Leslie really loved her blue bracelet.I felt really tired and full, since I ate most of the chocolate lamingtons. It was a superb day.

Tims favourite day
Four years ago my family and I flew to Brisbane for three weeks. Two days after the flight we had an awsome day at Dreamworld and Movieworld. We went to Dreamworld first. It was a spectacular day. I went on pretty much every ride except for two. But it was even better at Movieworld. My brother and I raced each other to the go karts. I won of course, he was to big for the kart anyway. There was a roller coaster called the Road Runner. I went on it about 10 times and my mum made me go on the Loony Tunes ride because my sister loved Loony tunes. We had a really yummy lunch FISH'n'CHIPS in between the rides. It was awesome!
Hamish's Favourite Day
On the 12 of March I had my party. Once everyone got there Lochlan, Keanan, Tim and I headed straight for Waimake Gorge. We put the boats in the water and looked for a spot to eat lunch. Then we had some lunch. When we stopped we made a little river then had a mud fight, we were so dirty and it was so fun though. When we got home Tim got on the motorbike and crashed it! There's a big dent in the shed. Then he went home but Lochlan and Keanan stayed the night. We opened the presents. I got a scooter and a tent and a big $100. My favourite present was the scooter. We went to Izone cafe for tea. I had the platter and for pudding we had a yummy cake. We got a discount because everybody who works there are one of Dads and Mum's friends. We stayed up until five in the morning.
Robert's fav day
On saturday the 29th of January I played cricket at Brookside Park against Tai Tapu, my team lost. After we left and went home I got showered. Then my brother and I played B.Y.C (back yard cricket). I batted first and smashed the soft ball as far as a metior. I made an unbeatable 109 runs. It was an excellent score concidering my brothers highest score is 35. He made 13 in 15 minetse 20 in19 and 37 in an hour.My Mum came outside and shouted in an angry voice "the Inwoods are here so we tidied up as quickly as a a robot drinking oil and sprinted outside the front do0r. After a good yak we left for our desternation; A.M.I stadiam. In half a boring hour we got to a deserted tunnel with spray paint cans... (to be continued)
Emmas favourite day
After a fun day at school I rushed out the gates to find my mum. I was so excited my whole entire family were coming over for tea. Even more special, my Aunty and Uncle from London were going to be there. There were 18 people who were coming over.There were 2 two year olds and 2 one year olds as well as Katie,Jessica and I. When everyone got there Katie and Dad went to get the pizzas.They went crazy like monkeys with 12 pizzas. When we finished the pizzas all 18 people played netball.I was garding my Uncle near the pool which made it hard. At one point we both went for the ball and guess what happend? He fell right on top of me! Every one went home at about 11pm except my two Auntys and Uncles who stayed the night.
Brookes favourite day
On saturday morning Caitlin started to pack for Kalieys birthday party.We went to a restaurant for lunch. We met Nan and Pop at the restaurant. I had a mini pizza for lunch and it was delicious. We had to drop Caitlin at her awesome birthday party.My Mum and I had to go boring grocery shopping so we went to New World. I kept on asking for things, my mum thinks I want things all the time. We got lollies and 2 DVDs out . We bought Step Up 3. We watched a cool Selena Gomaz DVD with chips and sweet lollies. The movie was funny. We went to bed it and I was super exhausted!
A great day in Hanmer Springs
On the 22 of February,2011, my family and my Brother's friend's family were in Hanmer to celebrate my brothers birthday. We woke up at 7:30am. Jaden and Ethan got out of the tent and made a huge noise. it woke everyone else up, and i felt quite drowsy. Dad and Brendon made breakfast; eggs, hash browns, bacon and coffee. I felt super excited as i got ready for the exciting day ahead.
I put on some trackies, a long sleeve top and some boots, as i was getting ready for Horse Riding. Kristal, Jesse, Brendon and Ethan took me. I got a big beautifull brown horse called Whimsey. She was very gentle, and did as she was told. When we finished, I fed her an apple. She then licked my hand.
We then meet up with my family and had lunch at a restuarant and bar. I had Sphaggettii and Meatballs and it was DELICIOUS! I felt soooo full afterwards!!! We then went shopping. We went to the Lollie Pot. I got some yummy Sherbit Pips and a large Star buster. I felt all lollied out after I finished them!
At the Thermal Pools, I have never, EVER been on one of their hydroslides before. I went on the white one, which has light in it. i felt sooo scared! but at the end, i did it again 12 TIMES!! then i went on the black one which was picth black and i completely freaked out! Adrealine was really pumping through me now. After that I went on the superbowl! I went with Jessie in a red two seater raft. we went down the bottom chute backwards , which was really scary! But when we went back to the camp ground, I thought'this is the best day ever!

Moniques favourite day
Two months ago in the holidays I went to Nelson with my family we stayed in a house on a hill they had two mice and two birds. The day after we got there we went to the aqurium, it was so cool you could touch anything! There was a stingray and I touched it and it felt all slimy. I touched its head it felt disgusting. When we left there we got a real fruit ice-cream. I got raspberry and it was delicous. After we ate that we went on a horse carrige. When we were in it we saw a dead fish!! Yuck! Afterwards we went back to the house and played with the hose, it was really fun and it was one of my best days ever!

Dubai Four years ago I went to Dubai, it was an outstanding holiday, here is my favourite day. My family and I woke up we got dressed and walked down to the breakfast area and I had pancakes with sprinkles and ice-cream (it was delicious). After about 30 minutes we went and got our togs on. We were staying in an awfully posh hotel, it was as posh as the Queen's castle (a little bit too posh for me!) Did I tell you I had to put floaties on?! I was only 5, don't laugh! My family and I went down to the pool or should I say a pool without the pee in it!!!Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! The pool had a waterfall that you could slide on, more like a slide, it was awsome!!! Later on after lunch we had to deliver one of our keys to a man called Chong Si or something like that. On our way back I begged Mum to go to the movies, so we did. I can't remember what we saw though. At the movies I made a new friend. It turned out that she was staying near us in the same posh hotel! Her name was Maria. She was from South Africa. We met up and had tea together with our families. We had a wonderful time. I stayed up until 10pm and as soon as my head hit the pillow I was fast asleep. The End...
