A day in Dunedin

hOn January 16 2011, my family and I drove down to Dunedin to see my Grandparents. It just so happened that my Great Aunty Leslie's birthday was the day we were going down to Dunedin. when we reached Mosgiel, we went to Grandma and Poppa's to drop off our bags that were jam packed with clothes. Jaden said his bum really hurt because we were in the hot and stinky car for 5 agonising hours!!!

During the time that Mum, Dad, Grandma and Poppa were having a hot cup of tea, I was devising of an awesome surprise plan. Aunty Les knew Mum and Dad had come down, but she did not know I had come down as well. I will surprise Aunty Les, I thought. I told everyone else about the plan before we went over, and they agreed I should do it.

Eventually we reached Aunty Leslie's house. I walked behind Mum, hiding myself from Aunty Les and everyone else there. When we reached the open front door, I jumped out and yelled "Happy Birthday!" Aunty Les fell back in her blue comfy chair. I went up to her and gave her a golden box tied with a satin brown ribbon. Inside lay a beautiful blue bracelet like shining paua, that I made myself.

For tea there was yummy mince pies, a seasame seed loaf, golden sausage rolls and juicy red mini sausages. For pudding we had delicious kiwi pavlova, strawberry jelly and chocolate lamingtons. Yum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aunty Leslie really loved her blue bracelet.I felt really tired and full, since I ate most of the chocolate lamingtons. It was a superb day.

Tims favourite day

Four years ago my family and I flew to Brisbane for three weeks. Two days after the flight we had an awsome day at Dreamworld and Movieworld. We went to Dreamworld first. It was a spectacular day. I went on pretty much every ride except for two. But it was even better at Movieworld. My brother and I raced each other to the go karts. I won of course, he was to big for the kart anyway. There was a roller coaster called the Road Runner. I went on it about 10 times and my mum made me go on the Loony Tunes ride because my sister loved Loony tunes. We had a really yummy lunch FISH'n'CHIPS in between the rides. It was awesome!

Hamish's Favourite Day

On the 12 of March I had my party. Once everyone got there Lochlan, Keanan, Tim and I headed straight for Waimake Gorge. We put the boats in the water and looked for a spot to eat lunch. Then we had some lunch. When we stopped we made a little river then had a mud fight, we were so dirty and it was so fun though. When we got home Tim got on the motorbike and crashed it! There's a big dent in the shed. Then he went home but Lochlan and Keanan stayed the night. We opened the presents. I got a scooter and a tent and a big $100. My favourite present was the scooter. We went to Izone cafe for tea. I had the platter and for pudding we had a yummy cake. We got a discount because everybody who works there are one of Dads and Mum's friends. We stayed up until five in the morning.

Robert's fav day

On saturday the 29th of January I played cricket at Brookside Park against Tai Tapu, my team lost. After we left and went home I got showered. Then my brother and I played B.Y.C (back yard cricket). I batted first and smashed the soft ball as far as a metior. I made an unbeatable 109 runs. It was an excellent score concidering my brothers highest score is 35. He made 13 in 15 minetse 20 in19 and 37 in an hour.My Mum came outside and shouted in an angry voice "the Inwoods are here so we tidied up as quickly as a a robot drinking oil and sprinted outside the front do0r. After a good yak we left for our desternation; A.M.I stadiam. In half a boring hour we got to a deserted tunnel with spray paint cans... (to be continued)

Emmas favourite day

After a fun day at school I rushed out the gates to find my mum. I was so excited my whole entire family were coming over for tea. Even more special, my Aunty and Uncle from London were going to be there. There were 18 people who were coming over.There were 2 two year olds and 2 one year olds as well as Katie,Jessica and I. When everyone got there Katie and Dad went to get the pizzas.They went crazy like monkeys with 12 pizzas. When we finished the pizzas all 18 people played netball.I was garding my Uncle near the pool which made it hard. At one point we both went for the ball and guess what happend? He fell right on top of me! Every one went home at about 11pm except my two Auntys and Uncles who stayed the night.

Brookes favourite day

On saturday morning Caitlin started to pack for Kalieys birthday party.We went to a restaurant for lunch. We met Nan and Pop at the restaurant. I had a mini pizza for lunch and it was delicious. We had to drop Caitlin at her awesome birthday party.My Mum and I had to go boring grocery shopping so we went to New World. I kept on asking for things, my mum thinks I want things all the time. We got lollies and 2 DVDs out . We bought Step Up 3. We watched a cool Selena Gomaz DVD with chips and sweet lollies. The movie was funny. We went to bed it and I was super exhausted!

A great day in Hanmer Springs

On the 22 of February,2011, my family and my Brother's friend's family were in Hanmer to celebrate my brothers birthday. We woke up at 7:30am. Jaden and Ethan got out of the tent and made a huge noise. it woke everyone else up, and i felt quite drowsy. Dad and Brendon made breakfast; eggs, hash browns, bacon and coffee. I felt super excited as i got ready for the exciting day ahead.

I put on some trackies, a long sleeve top and some boots, as i was getting ready for Horse Riding. Kristal, Jesse, Brendon and Ethan took me. I got a big beautifull brown horse called Whimsey. She was very gentle, and did as she was told. When we finished, I fed her an apple. She then licked my hand.

We then meet up with my family and had lunch at a restuarant and bar. I had Sphaggettii and Meatballs and it was DELICIOUS! I felt soooo full afterwards!!! We then went shopping. We went to the Lollie Pot. I got some yummy Sherbit Pips and a large Star buster. I felt all lollied out after I finished them!

At the Thermal Pools, I have never, EVER been on one of their hydroslides before. I went on the white one, which has light in it. i felt sooo scared! but at the end, i did it again 12 TIMES!! then i went on the black one which was picth black and i completely freaked out! Adrealine was really pumping through me now. After that I went on the superbowl! I went with Jessie in a red two seater raft. we went down the bottom chute backwards , which was really scary! But when we went back to the camp ground, I thought'this is the best day ever!

Moniques favourite day

Two months ago in the holidays I went to Nelson with my family we stayed in a house on a hill they had two mice and two birds. The day after we got there we went to the aqurium, it was so cool you could touch anything! There was a stingray and I touched it and it felt all slimy. I touched its head it felt disgusting. When we left there we got a real fruit ice-cream. I got raspberry and it was delicous. After we ate that we went on a horse carrige. When we were in it we saw a dead fish!! Yuck! Afterwards we went back to the house and played with the hose, it was really fun and it was one of my best days ever!

Cassidy's Favourite Day

Dubai Four years ago I went to Dubai, it was an outstanding holiday, here is my favourite day. My family and I woke up we got dressed and walked down to the breakfast area and I had pancakes with sprinkles and ice-cream (it was delicious). After about 30 minutes we went and got our togs on. We were staying in an awfully posh hotel, it was as posh as the Queen's castle (a little bit too posh for me!) Did I tell you I had to put floaties on?! I was only 5, don't laugh! My family and I went down to the pool or should I say a pool without the pee in it!!!Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! The pool had a waterfall that you could slide on, more like a slide, it was awsome!!! Later on after lunch we had to deliver one of our keys to a man called Chong Si or something like that. On our way back I begged Mum to go to the movies, so we did. I can't remember what we saw though. At the movies I made a new friend. It turned out that she was staying near us in the same posh hotel! Her name was Maria. She was from South Africa. We met up and had tea together with our families. We had a wonderful time. I stayed up until 10pm and as soon as my head hit the pillow I was fast asleep. The End...
